About the College of Engineering
The College of Engineering was established after the issuance of the ministerial order to transform Shatt Al-Arab University College into Shatt Al-Arab University in 2024,The college aims to provide the promising labor market in Iraq in general and Basra Governorate and the southern region in particular with engineers from various specializations. The College of Engineering currently includes the Department of Civil Engineering, but the college has an ambitious plan to open new departments with a focus on engineering specializations required by both the government and the free labor market.

Also, preparing specialized engineers who can assume various positions in the government jobs and the private sector companies and Factories. At the same time, contributing to the development of society and the local and regional economy. 1) Preparing and training students for various engineering professions by emphasizing their familiarity with engineering principles in the field of specialization. Moreover, qualifies the graduate to absorb technical problems and contribute to the development of scientific solutions to them.
